雪竇住翠峯，時有數僧到，竇云：「新到那。」僧云：「是。」竇云：「參堂去。」僧纔行，竇復喚云：「來來。」僧回首，竇云：「洞庭難得師僧到，與爾一椀茶喫。」

When Xuedou resided at Cuifeng, several monks arrived. Dou said: "New arrivals?" A monk said: "Yes." Dou said: "Go enter the hall." Just as the monk walked, Dou called again: "Come here, come here." The monk turned his head, and Dou said: "It is rare for monks to come to Dongting; I will give you a bowl of tea to drink."
