耆婆去後無消息，病者憧憧日扣門，百草自知無識者，
叢叢垂泣在籬根。

Since Jīvaka's departure, there has been no news;
The sick throng incessantly, knocking at the gate daily.
The hundred herbs know themselves to have no recognizer;
In clumps they weep, hanging down at the base of the hedge.
