昨日因過竹院西，隣家稚子隔溪啼，山寒水肅半黃落，
無數歸鴉卜樹棲。

Yesterday, passing west of the bamboo monastery, / A neighbor's young child was crying across the stream. / The mountains are cold, the waters austere, half the leaves withered and fallen; / Countless returning crows choose trees to roost.
