舉：「魯祖因洞山來參，禮拜了，侍立少頃而出，却再入來，祖云：『只恁麼只恁麼，所以如此。』洞山云：『大有人不肯。』祖云：『作麼取汝口辯？』洞山乃侍奉數月。」

He cited: "Because Dongshan came to call on him, Luzu [received him]. After bowing, Dongshan stood in attendance for a short while and went out, but then came in again. Luzu said, 'Just so, just so—that is why it is like this.' Dongshan said, 'There are plenty of people who would not agree.' Luzu said, 'Why should I take heed of your verbal eloquence?' Dongshan then served as his attendant for several months."
