舉：「道吾因僧問：『無神通菩薩，為甚蹤跡難尋？』吾云：『同道者方知。』僧云：『和尚還知麼？』吾云：『不知。』僧云：『為甚不知？』吾云：『去，汝不會我語。』」

He cited: "Because a monk asked Daowu, 'Why are the traces of a bodhisattva without supernatural powers difficult to seek?' Daowu said, 'Only those of the same path know.' The monk said, 'Do you know, Upādhyāya?' Daowu said, 'I do not know.' The monk said, 'Why do you not know?' Daowu said, 'Be off! You do not understand my words.'"
