舉：「玄沙初到莆田縣，百戲迎之，次日問小塘長老：『昨日許多喧閧，向甚麼處去？』小塘提起袈裟角，玄沙云：『料掉沒交涉。』」
He cited: "When Xuansha first arrived in Putian County, a hundred entertainers welcomed him. The next day, he asked Senior Xiaotang, 'Where did all yesterday's clamor and racket go?' Xiaotang lifted up the corner of his kāṣāya robe. Xuansha said, 'Utterly irrelevant.'"
