舉：「忠國師因虞軍容問：『師住白崖山時，如何修行？』師喚童子，以手摩頂云：『惺惺直言惺惺，歷歷直言歷歷，向後莫受人謾。』軍容無語。」

[He] brought up: "Because Army Commissioner Yu asked, 'When the Master dwelt on Mount Baiya, how did you practice cultivation?' National Teacher Zhong called a novice, rubbed his crown with his hand, and said, 'When clearly awake, speak frankly of being clearly awake; when distinct, speak frankly of being distinct. Hereafter, do not be deceived by others.' The Commissioner was silent."
