舉：「南泉問僧：『夜來好風。』僧云：『夜來好風。』泉云：『吹折門前一枝松。』僧云：『吹折門前一枝松。』次問一僧：『夜來好風。』僧云：『是甚麼風？』泉云：『吹折門前一枝松。』僧云：『是甚麼松？』泉云：『一得一失。』」

He cited: "Nanquan asked a monk: 'A fine wind last night.' The monk said: 'A fine wind last night.' Nanquan said: 'It snapped a pine branch in front of the gate.' The monk said: 'It snapped a pine branch in front of the gate.' Next he asked another monk: 'A fine wind last night.' The monk said: 'What kind of wind?' Nanquan said: 'It snapped a pine branch in front of the gate.' The monk said: 'What kind of pine?' Nanquan said: 'One gain, one loss.'"
