舉：「日容遠和尚因奯上堂參，容拊掌三下云：『猛虎當軒，誰是敵者？』奯云：『俊鷂冲天，阿誰捉得？』容云：『彼此難當。』奯云：『且休，未斷者公案。』容將主丈舞歸方丈，奯無語。容云：『死却者漢也。』」

He cited: "Because [Elder] Huo came up to the hall to pay respects, Upādhyāya Rirong Yuan clapped his hands three times and said: 'A fierce tiger is right in the porch; who can oppose it?' Huo said: 'A fine hawk strikes into the sky; who can catch it?' Yuan said: 'Both of us are difficult to withstand.' Huo said: 'Let it rest for a moment; this gong'an is not yet settled.' Yuan waved his staff and returned to the abbot's quarters. Huo had nothing to say. Yuan said: 'This fellow is dead.'"
