頭戴樺皮冠，脚穿破木履，有磨墨過筆之功，
無二千酬瀉瓶之水。捉敗了也，國清寺裡偷佛飯，
元來是爾。

Wearing a birch-bark hat on his head, / shod in broken wooden clogs on his feet, / he has the merit of grinding ink and passing the brush, / but lacks the two-thousand-fold reward of pouring water into a vase. / You've been caught red-handed! / Stealing the Buddha's food in Guoqing Monastery— / so it was you all along!
