6.326

前無釋迦，後無達磨，罵雨罵風，祗要做大，
黑漆竹篦，胡打亂打，是佛是魔，劈面便唾，因茲天降其咎，
衡陽梅陽，十七年吞飢忍餓，將謂萬里生還知非，
元來一星子，不曾改過，者般瞎禿得人憎，
天上人間無兩箇。咄。

Before him, no Śākya; behind him, no Bodhidharma. / Cursing rain and cursing wind, he only wanted to be great. / With a black lacquered bamboo cane, striking recklessly and wildly; / whether buddha or demon, spitting right in their face! / Because of this, Heaven sent down its blame: / at Hengyang and Meiyang, / seventeen years of swallowing hunger and enduring starvation. / One would think returning alive after ten thousand miles he would know his faults, / but fundamentally not a single speck has he ever reformed! / Such a blind baldhead who makes people hate him— / in heaven and among mortals, there are not two! Bah!
