Crossing swords in the room of Shui'an, / a single slap left his ears deaf. / From then on calling a bell an earthen jar, / he extinguished the orthodox lineage of Yangqi. / He thought himself worthy to enter Mu'an's gate, / yet claimed not to recognize Zhongfeng.
