舌貫鼻端，牛行虎視，祇者形模，轉增聾戾，
萬丈寒潭兮　泐水無波，千仞寶山兮　浮圖鎖翠，
八十四人兮　猶居學地。

His tongue reached the tip of his nose; he walked like an ox and glared like a tiger. / Merely this physical appearance only added to deafness and obstinacy. / In the chilling pool of myriad fathoms, the waters of Le have no waves; / On the precious mountain of a thousand fathoms, the pagoda locks in the emerald green. / His eighty-four disciples still dwell in the stage of learning.
