Waters wind and mountains encircle the lion's den; / The resplendent golden-maned one emerged from here. / Once the wild fox died, foxes and hares grieved; / The monasteries of the world were in an uproar. / When I come, I dare not take heavy steps; / Solemn and dense, the pure breeze arises. / Three bows without a word, I walk out the gate; / A single note from a smoky flute rests across the ox's back.
