6.46

舉：「章敬因小師遊方回，乃問：『汝離此多少年？』云：『自離和尚，將及八載。』敬云：『辨得箇甚麼？』小師就地上，畫一圓相，敬云：『只者箇，更別有？』小師畫破圓相，作禮而退。」

He cited: "Zhangjing, when his junior disciple returned from traveling to various quarters, asked, 'How many years have you been away from here?' [The disciple] said, 'Since leaving the upādhyāya, it has been nearly eight years.' Jing said, 'What have you discerned?' The junior disciple drew a circle on the ground. Jing said, 'Only this, or is there something else?' The junior disciple erased the circle, bowed, and withdrew."
