6.60

舉：「雲居膺和尚，聞山下有一僧住庵，令侍者送袴一腰與之，僧云：『我自有孃生袴。』竟不受。再令侍者去問：『孃未生時，著箇甚麼？』僧無語。」

He cited: "Upādhyāya Yunju Ying heard that a monk was living in a hermitage below the mountain. He ordered his attendant to deliver a pair of trousers to him. The monk said, 'I have the trousers my mother gave birth to me in,' and would not accept them. [Yunju] again ordered the attendant to go and ask, 'Before your mother gave birth to you, what did you wear?' The monk was speechless."
