舉：「梁武帝請傅大士講經，士纔陞座，以尺拊案一下，便下座，帝愕然，誌公乃問：『陛下還會麼？』帝云：『不會。』誌公云：『大士講經竟。』」

[He] brought up: "Emperor Wu of Liang requested Mahāsattva Fu to explain a sutra. As soon as the Mahāsattva ascended the seat, he struck the desk once with a ruler, and immediately stepped down from the seat. The Emperor was startled. Master Zhi then asked, 'Does Your Majesty understand?' The Emperor said, 'I do not understand.' Master Zhi said, 'The Mahāsattva has finished explaining the sutra.'"
