上堂：「尋常苦口，不是不說，只是信不及；不是信不及，只是有些隔礙。且道是什麼隔礙？」卓主丈：「信不及。」

Ascending the hall: "Usually I speak with earnest bitterness; it is not that I do not speak, but just that your faith does not reach; it is not that your faith does not reach, but just that there is some obstruction. And tell me, what kind of obstruction is it?" He struck the staff: "Faith does not reach."
