8.40

師乃云：「黃面老子，每日與諸人挨肩接踵，未嘗少間，何謂今辰入滅？爾若見得分曉，恩歸有自；不然，佛殿裏自起自倒。」

The master then said: "The yellow-faced old fellow rubs shoulders and bumps heels with everyone every day without the slightest interruption; why call this morning his entering extinction? If you see clearly, gratitude has its source; if not, inside the Buddha hall you just pick yourself up and knock yourself down."
