師乃云：「起處精銳，東山正脈潛通；振領森嚴，松源家法猶在。去也白雲澹泞，出沒無拘；住也古柏凌霜，歲寒不變。且不約而會一句如何付囑？」卓主丈：「但思天目塔，休話子陵灘。」

The master then said: "The starting point is sharp and piercing—the true lineage of Dongshan covertly penetrates; holding up the collar with solemnity—the family style of Songyuan still remains. Going, the white clouds are serene, appearing and disappearing without restraint; staying, the ancient cypress braves the frost, unchanged through the cold of the year. Furthermore, without an agreement yet meeting, how is the single phrase entrusted?" Striking his staff: "Only think of the stupa of Tianmu; do not speak of Ziling's shoal."
