海西堂至上堂：「推天文，窮地理，將陰陽易數，向蓍草影邊，點指頭子數過，無一星子漏落。且道，趙州東壁掛葫蘆，在什麼數中？會得，事同一家；不然，多向洞庭青草岸，楚天空闊不知歸。」

Upon the arrival of West Hall Hai, ascending the hall: "Deducing astronomy, plumbing geography, applying the calculations of the Changes of yin and yang, counting them off on the fingertips beside the shadows of the yarrow stalks—not a single particle is left out. Tell me, which calculation is Zhaozhou's calabash hanging on the eastern wall in? If you understand, things are of the same family; if not, you will mostly head toward the green-grass shores of Dongting, where under the vast skies of Chu you will not know how to return."
