He further cited: "One day, Military Commissioner Zhu went to Nanjisi. While offering a meal to the monks and distributing incense, he waved his hand incense-burner and said: 'Right here it is! Right here it is!' At that time, a monk said: 'Right here is what?' The commissioner then shouted. The monk said: 'The commissioner is a man of the Buddha-dharma; why do you get angry when questioned?' The commissioner said: 'You take this as getting angry, do you?' The monk then shouted. The commissioner also shouted, saying: 'The hook is cast in a place without doubt.' He then called his attendants to take note of this monk." The Master said: "People say beside the Queen Mother's pool there is a tree named the coiled peach; it flowers in three thousand years, bears fruit in three thousand years, and must wait yet another three thousand years before it ripens. Tell me, does it have any meeting with the commissioner?" He struck with his staff: "Examine!"
