Burning incense on the memorial day of Great Master Bodhidharma: "With the red banner following your procession, you considered your divine mechanism beyond deciphering. Yet upon arriving at Bailuzhou, you died beneath old Xiao's words. Your voice sank in the state of Wei, and your shadow parted from the solitary niche. At this time when the Dharma gate approaches autumn, painfully pondering the traces of the past, I offer this stream-waterweed to extend slightly the remembrance of the remote past. Frost flies across the vast wild, and leaves fall from the high ridge; with gallbladder torn and heart shattered, before speaking I choke back tears."
