師於建炎二年九月十五日入院。上堂云。恁麼時恁麼處恁麼去。恁麼時恁麼處恁麼來。其來也內紹到家。其去也傍分借路。明月練鋪江面。蘆花雪照門頭。分明祇是箇人。宛轉歸來舊處。諸禪德。本色漢到者田地。更須知有功勳及盡。十成時脫去渾身。祖禰相承。一色後荷擔底事。諸人還相委悉麼。良久云。機轉玉輪乾坤靜。妙叶寶印正當風。

On the fifteenth day of the ninth month in the second year of Jianyan, the Master entered the cloister. Ascending the hall, he said: "Going like this at such a time and in such a place; coming like this at such a time and in such a place. The coming is inheriting internally and arriving home; the going is branching off to the side and borrowing a road. The bright moon spreads white silk over the river's surface; reed flowers shine like snow before the gate. Clearly it is just this person, turning and returning to the former place. Venerable Chan monks, when an authentic fellow arrives at this ground, he must further know that when merit and toil are fully exhausted, at the moment of complete fulfillment, he strips away the whole body; after the singular color passed down from ancestors, there is the matter that is shouldered. Do you people fully comprehend?" After a long pause, he said: "When the pivot turns the jade wheel, heaven and earth are serene; wondrously harmonizing with the precious seal, it faces directly into the wind."
