1.97

辭眾上堂云。來也恁麼來。去也恁麼去。白雲送我出山。明月隨人過渡。其間針線細微。不是尋常莽鹵。可謂行人到家。少子就父。偏圓混處。須知不帶諸緣。岐路轉時。會要密移一步。明明了了。是歸家底人。青青照照。是到家底處。諸人祇如人到家。子就父底時節。合作麼生話會。良久云。廬山相討。

Bidding farewell to the assembly, [the Master] ascended the hall and said: "Coming, one comes just so; going, one goes just so. White clouds see me off out of the mountain; the bright moon accompanies one across the ferry. In between, the needlework is subtle; it is not ordinary carelessness. It may be called the traveler reaching home, the younger son approaching the father. Where bias and round blend, one must know they do not carry any conditions; when the fork in the road turns, one must secretly shift a step. Distinctly clear—that is the person returning home; freshly shining—that is the place reached at home. All of you: right when the person reaches home and the son approaches the father, how should this be conversed about and understood?" After a long pause, he said: "Seek me out at Mount Lu!"
