規圓矩方。用行舍藏。鈍置棲蘆之鳥。進退觸藩之羊。
喫人家飯。臥自家床。雲騰致雨。露結為霜。
玉線相投透針鼻。錦絲不斷吐梭腸。
石女機停兮夜色向午。木人路轉兮月影移央。

The compass is round and the square is true; / acting when employed and hiding when set aside. / Slowing down the birds roosting in reeds; / moving forward or retreating, the ram butts the hedge. / Eating the food of another's family; / sleeping in one's own bed. / Clouds rise and cause rain; / dew congeals and becomes frost. / Jade thread matches and threads through the eye of the needle; / brocade silk unbroken vomits from the belly of the shuttle. / The stone maiden halts her loom as night turns toward midnight; / the wooden figure turns on the path as the moon's shadow shifts from the center.
