夫至理超名象之階。真智出思議之外。佛佛祖祖。相印以心。葉葉花花。妙嚴於本。門庭峻高。而稜稜壁立。各紹其宗。枝派衍遠。而浩浩岐流。終歸於海。付區分於杖拂。與烹鍊於鑪鎚。道任斯人也。廓吞納之胸膺。神應求器也。具變通之手段。為萬世之龜噬。明覺首唱於其前。追千里之驥游。阿誰步隨於其後。

Now, ultimate principle transcends the levels of name and form; true wisdom surpasses the reach of thought and deliberation. Buddhas and patriarchs seal one another mind to mind; leaves and flowers wonderfully adorn the root. Their gates and courtyards are precipitous and lofty, rising like steep cliffs, each inheriting their tradition; their branches and streams diverge far and wide, yet the vast branching flows ultimately return to the sea. They entrust differentiation to the staff and whisk, and conduct forging and refining in the furnace and anvil. The Way is entrusted to such a person! Broad is the chest that swallows and takes in all. The spirit responds to whoever seeks a vessel; they possess the methods of transformation. Serving as a divination tortoise for myriad generations, Mingjue first raised the chant before them; pursuing the thousand-mile stallion's roaming, who follows in his footsteps behind?
