3.57

舉盤山垂語云。若言即心即佛。今時未入玄微。若言非心非佛。亦是指蹤極則。師云。有錢不解使。解使却無錢。且道。作麼生得十成去。娶他年少婦。須是白頭兒。

[Hongzhi] cited: Panshan gave the instructional remark: "If one says 'this very mind is Buddha', nowadays one has not entered the profound subtlety. If one says 'neither mind nor Buddha', it is still the ultimate standard of pointing out the trace." The Master [Hongzhi] said, "Having money but not knowing how to spend it; knowing how to spend it, but lacking money. And tell me, how can one achieve a complete ten-out-of-ten? To marry that young woman, one must be a white-haired man."
