4.71

上堂云。人平不語。水平不流。風定華落。鳥啼山更幽。只麼天真無少剩。莫於裏許著絲頭。

Ascending the hall, he said: "When people are level, they do not speak; when water is level, it does not flow. When the wind settles, flowers fall; when birds cry, the mountains become even more secluded. Just so naturally pure, without the slightest surplus—do not attach the tip of a thread within it."
