The eye that responds to changes, the body that roams through the world—empty yet numinous, quiescent yet illuminating—stands a cut above amidst the myriad forms, not buried by dust and earth, not bound by the cocoon of conditions. Like the moon moving through the sky, or clouds emerging from the valleys, without mind it reflects, and without selfishness it acts, providing illumination and offering moisture. Fully ten tenths like this, thoroughly clean and liberated, unbound and free in its function: this is called 'departing from within the gate.' Furthermore, one must realize and embody the time of internally inheriting the family estate: taking emptiness as one's seat and quiescence as one's dwelling. Its wondrous presence is not 'existence,' for it does not take on conditions; its true illumination is not 'nonexistence,' for it does not fall into numbers. Shining alone in the center of the ring, serene and round beyond all measure, the spirit roams supremely, controlling the great realm without corners. Wherever the dynamic trigger is released, one naturally attains unhindered, versatile enjoyment.
