廓而自靈。淨而自明。能普遍而無取照之功。能分曉而無緣想之累。出有無表。超思議情。唯證相應。不從人得。佛佛祖祖。葉葉花花。聯續底事也。應時不取相。照處不涉緣。便能堂堂不昧。只箇家風。處處現成。任君收拾。

Vast, it is naturally numinous; pure, it is naturally bright. It can be all-pervading without the effort of grasping at illumination; it can be thoroughly distinct without the burden of conditioned thinking. It emerges beyond existence and nonexistence, transcending thoughts of conceivability. It is only attuned to through personal realization, not obtained from others. This is the matter continuously passed down from buddha to buddha, patriarch to patriarch, leaf to leaf, flower to flower. Responding in time without grasping at marks, illuminating in place without involving conditions, one can then be grand and unobscured. It is just this family style, ready-made everywhere, for you to take up as you will.
