其來何求。其去無得。寂漠度嶺兮萬里獨行。
清白傳家兮九年一默。針芥投而妙不可名。
毫釐差而敝不可塞。知過而改。知難而退。誰去誰來。
自買自賣。當面諱却兮滿眼烏華。望涯贊之兮隔身鯨海。

In his coming, what did he seek? In his going, nothing was attained. / Desolate, crossing the ridges, ten thousand miles walking alone; / Pure and white, transmitting the family tradition, nine years of a single silence. / Needle and mustard seed meeting, the wonder cannot be named; / Differing by a hair's breadth, the ruin cannot be blocked. / Knowing the fault, he corrected it; seeing the difficulty, he withdrew. / Who goes and who comes? / Buying for oneself and selling for oneself. / Concealed right before one's face, the eyes are filled with dark blossoms; / Praising him from afar across the shore, separated by a sea of whales.
