原鴒能作歸呼音。暮風墮葉秋在林。路沙漠漠水潏潏。
夜色冉冉山陰陰。坐冠多士自省短。
挽袂乃友相知深。乞與高閒償夙歉。閉門穩臥舒疲心。

The wagtail on the plains can make a call to return;
Evening wind brings down the leaves; autumn is in the forest.
The road is desert-vast; the waters rush along;
Night colors gently gather; the mountains turn gloomy and dark.
Sitting at the head of many scholars, I reflect on my own shortcomings;
Pulling my sleeve, this friend understands me deeply.
I beg to be granted aloof leisure to repay past debts,
To shut the door, lie down securely, and ease my weary heart.
