8.145

東山聚散亦夤緣。華吐芳姿柳鎖煙。肯處根塵非一一。
用時手眼恰千千。塔中祖有相傳事。
嶺外人元不會禪。後日能來圓此話。未嫌敲枕喚春眠。

Gathering and scattering at East Mountain are also due to affinities;
Flowers burst into fragrant charms, willows locked in mist.
Where one accords, sense bases and sense objects are not separate;
When in use, hands and eyes are precisely a thousand.
In the stūpa, the Patriarch has affairs handed down;
The man from beyond the ranges originally did not understand Chan.
If in later days you can come and complete this talk,
I would not mind knocking on the pillow to awaken spring sleep.
