阿祖江濱插葦枝。叢林蕃茂果臻斯。師門昆仲知名舊。
緣法東西得面遲。沙上盟寒鷗怪晚。
屋頭字草雁來時。月明古渡清鋪練。千里同風不隔絲。

The Patriarch planted a reed stalk by the river's shore; / The lush prosperity of the monastic groves has indeed culminated here. / Fellow disciples under our master's gate, we have long known each other's names, / Yet bound to Dharma east and west, we were late to meet face-to-face. / On the sands the pledge grows cold, the gulls wonder at the lateness; / Over the roof the grass-script strokes form as the wild geese arrive. / The moon shines bright over the ancient ferry, purely spreading like white silk; / A thousand miles share the same breeze, not separated by a single thread.
