8.315

豁淨虛通入覺場。體前一段本來光。孤禪恰恰如擔板。
默照明明似面牆。秋光蘆華兩岸雪。
夜寒桂月一船霜。迢迢象外行歸路。雁字低低正夕陽。

Open, pure, empty, and unobstructed, one enters the bodhimaṇḍa;
before the substance, a stretch of primordial radiance.
Solitary Chan is just like carrying a board;
silent illumination clearly resembles facing a wall.
In autumn light, reed flowers: snow on both shores;
in the night chill, cassia moon: a boatload of frost.
Far, far beyond all forms, travelling the homeward road,
the wild geese's script flies low against the setting sun.
