8.443

夾山鉤上得芳鱗。不作當年棒喝嗔。直向劫前分手眼。
端能化外撥機輪。是須眉底有筋漢。
方契寰中無舌人。徹照自宗知細密。任從天下樂忻忻。

Hooked upon Jiashan's line, a fragrant fish was caught;
He bore no grudge over the blows and shouts of bygone days.
Directly before the kalpa he parted hands and eyes;
Truly beyond the worldly realm he spun the pivot of functioning.
Only a fellow with sinews beneath his eyebrows
Can tally with the tongue-less person within the realm.
Thoroughly illuminating one's own school, knowing its subtle intimacy,
Let all under heaven rejoice with great delight.
