道人欲乞一囊錢。為我成褫負郭田。淺水駕牛披曉月。
深雲下耒破春煙。力耕妙用吾家事。
坐照真機自己禪。寄語檀那好相助。年年長得飯僧緣。

A person of the Way wishes to beg a purse of money
To prepare the fields bordering the city on my behalf.
Driving the ox through shallow water, clad in the dawn moon;
Pushing the plow deep in the clouds, breaking through spring mist.
Hard tilling and wonderful functioning are our family's affair;
Sitting in illumination of genuine functioning is one's own Chan.
I send word to the dānapatis to assist kindly,
So that year after year conditions for feeding the monks may grow.
