9.21

妙藏絕隣。畢竟無身也。清虛之理真。幽靈獨神。
須臾返色也。自照之智親。雲寒有雪意。天遠連秋津。
緣起佛種。覺生幻塵。語細音柔。丹山鳳鶵之韻。
目深眉重。檀林師子之顰。借位途中賓主。
借功門裏君臣。洞水逆流。望雲巖而半肯。
曹山顛酒。知清稅未全貧。曲木床頭握麈尾。
心傳一句付其人。

The wondrous storehouse has no neighbor; / Ultimately it has no body. / The principle of pure emptiness is real; / The secluded spirit is singularly divine. / In an instant it returns to form; / The wisdom of self-illumination is intimate. / The cold clouds carry the intention of snow; / The distant sky touches the autumn ford. / Through conditioned arising, the Buddha-seed appears; / Awakening gives birth to illusory dust. / Words delicate, voice soft—the resonance of a phoenix fledgling on Dan Mountain; / Eyes deep, brows heavy—the frown of a lion in the sandalwood grove. / Borrowing position: host and guest along the road; / Borrowing function: lord and minister within the gate. / The Dong waters flow in reverse; / Looking toward Yunyan, he half consented. / Caoshan got mad on wine, / Knowing that Qingrui was not completely impoverished. / At the head of the curved-wood couch, grasping the fly-whisk, / The mind-transmitted single phrase is bestowed upon the right person.
