山帶雪而歲寒。水含月而夜闌。對機轉物。影草探竿。
游刃之牛解。爛柯之局殘。西風雨斂煙雲淨。
北斗脚垂河漢乾。

Mountains girdled with snow as the year turns cold; / Water holding the moon as the night wanes deep. / Responding to capacities, turning phenomena— / Shadow grass and probing pole. / The wandering blade of the ox-carver, / The rotted ax-handle of the unfinished game. / West wind and rain cleared, smoke and clouds wiped clean; / The Northern Dipper lowers its feet as the River of Heaven runs dry.
