石上足蟠。人間念乾。秋生眼角。喜入眉端。丘壑之身心磈磊。
叢林之肝膽衰殘。㵎月依俙夜霜濯磨而氣韻清白。
岩松偃蹇朔雪湔洗而精神翠寒。
行脚屨敗。住山篾寬。點著破竈墮。
呼回倒剎竿。光陰催促三眠繭。風雨捫摩百戰瘢。
影像受鑑。音聲度垣。寂默髑髏眼。光明赤肉團。
雲錦舒春兮華容光焰。潮雷卷雪兮海口波瀾。
掛拂之喝。拄杖之竄。胡餅漫頭有變通而紹祖供職。
蓮華荷葉沒科臼而說禪判宦。
相隨學步。莫似邯鄲。

Legs coiled upon the rock,
Thoughts of the human world dried up.
Autumn arises at the corners of his eyes;
Joy enters the tips of his brows.
The body and mind of hills and ravines are rugged and unyielding;
The courage and mettle of the monastic groves are withered and aged.
The brook's moon dimly lingers as night frost scrubs and polishes, its atmosphere pure and white;
The cliff pine stands crooked as northern snow rinses and washes, its spirit emerald and cold.
Pilgrimage sandals worn through,
Living in the mountains, the bamboo hoop slackens.
A nudge, and the broken stove collapses;
A single call turns around the inverted flag-pole.
Time presses on the thrice-sleeping silkworm cocoon;
Wind and rain caress the scars of a hundred battles.
Reflections are received by the mirror;
Sounds pass over the wall.
The silent skull's eye,
The luminous red mass of flesh.
Clouds of brocade unfold spring—the blossoms' faces shine with brilliance;
Tidal thunder rolls up snow—the ocean's mouth churns waves.
The shout when hanging the whisk,
The scurrying when holding the staff.
Sesame cakes and steamed buns have versatile ways to succeed the ancestors and perform duties;
Lotus blossoms and lotus leaves have no fixed molds when speaking Chan and judging affairs.
Following in others' footsteps,
Do not be like the man of Handan.
