The ocean of awakening is originally limpid;
The sky of nature is vast and level.
Ears and eyes are empty and further extended;
The breath is subtle and pure.
The dew is cold and the Dipper wet;
Autumn is pale and the Milky Way lies transverse.
The demeanor of the monastic grove;
The brilliance at the tips of the hundred grasses.
The crescent moon shines over the three thousand ocean realms;
The wind of the whirlwind rises ninety thousand li into the sky.
His belly full from investigation,
His character mature and seasoned.
Wielding the axe is exceedingly easy;
Finding one capable of receiving it is terribly difficult.
For your sake, let me chop away the plaster on the nose,
Causing onlookers on all four sides to be startled.
