9.496

胡床一默。智游理窟。偏正往來。離微出沒。上下混成也二儀之根。
去來平等也三世之則。
有時隨應諸塵。不可說似一物。修證不無。污染不得。
震之東兌之西。離之南坎之北。青州布衫。
鎮州蘿蔔。當家行眼裏有筋。本色漢舌頭無骨。

A single silence upon the rope-seated chair:
Wisdom wanders in the cavern of principle.
Bias and upright come and go;
Subtlety and separation appear and disappear.
Blended and formed above and below, it is the root of the two modes;
Equal in going and coming, it is the standard of the three periods of time.
At times responding to the various dusts,
It cannot be described as resembling a single thing.
Cultivation and realization are not absent,
Yet it cannot be defiled.
Zhen in the east, Dui in the west;
Li in the south, Kan in the north.
The cloth robe of Qingzhou,
The radishes of Zhenzhou.
One adept in the house has sinews in his eyes;
A person of authentic character has no bones in his tongue.
