9.85

默有心傳。休將相觀。煙巢鶴夢。月窟蟾寒。靜裏萬緣藏鼻孔。
笑中百事見眉端。而今鬚髮點半白。
向道叢林歷百難。

In silence there is mind-to-mind transmission; / do not observe it by means of characteristics. / In the smoky nest, the crane dreams; / in the moon's cavern, the toad is cold. / In stillness, ten thousand conditions are tucked inside the nostrils; / in laughter, a hundred affairs appear upon the eyebrows. / Now with beard and hair half-speckled with white, / he has faced the Way in the monastic grove, braving a hundred hardships.
