立雪齊腰。求法斷臂。有志忘諸軀。無心契諸己。
了了常知。其知密微。妙不借口。的自傳衣。
全功歸父底時節。拈轉虛空絕所依。

Standing in snow up to his waist, / Seeking the Dharma, he severed his arm. / With resolve, he forgot his physical body; / With no-mind, he tallied with his own self. / Clearly and ever knowing, / His knowing was subtle and minute. / Wondrously, it did not rely on the mouth; / Directly, the robe was transmitted of itself. / At the season when all merit returns to the father, / He turned empty space around, severing all reliance.
