Covered by heaven, sustained by earth; / forming a mass, forming a lump. / Pervading the Dharma realm without boundary; / splitting the adjacent emptiness without an interior. / When the profound subtlety is exhausted, / who distinguishes facing toward or facing away? / Buddhas and ancestors come to repay debts of verbal karma. / Go ask Old Teacher Wang of Nanquan: / everyone eats just a single stalk of vegetable.
