Illuminating through to the root of creation, both subtle and manifest; / In the turmoil of emergence and submerged disappearance, one sees its gate. / Letting the spirit roam beyond the kalpa, you ask what there is; / Directing the eye right before your person, you know the marvelous exists. / The tiger roars—chillingly, the cliff gale arises; / The dragon intones—slowly, the cavern clouds darken. / Nanquan punctured the dream of worldly people: / You must recognize the majestic honored one in the stage of succession.
