Do not speak of birth, do not speak of death; / profound, firm, hidden, and distant, no one can reach it.
Today, for senior monk Liaozong, / I point out the junctions of the five paths / and open up a thread of a road.
Arriving upright and departing biased: the rabbit bathes in the starry river; / emerging from detachment and entering subtlety: the ape cries on the moonlit ridge.
