指佛殿。黃金妙相。著衣喫飯。因我禮爾。早眠晏起。咦。談玄說妙太無端。切忌拈花自熱瞞。

Pointing to the Buddha Hall, [the Master said]: "Wondrous golden form; wearing clothes and eating rice. Because of me, paying homage to you; sleeping early and rising late. Bah! Talking of mystery and speaking of marvels is far too groundless; strictly avoid holding up a flower to deceive yourself!"
