1.32

臘八上堂。六年落草。野狐精跳。出渾身是葛藤。打失眼睛無覓處。誑人剛道悟明星。清涼恁麼讚歎。喚作知恩報恩。其或不然。年年臘八一甌茶。禮拜燒香鈍置他。

Ascending the hall on the eighth day of the twelfth month: / Six years falling into the weeds; / A wild fox spirit jumping about, / His whole body covered in entangling vines. / Losing his eyes with nowhere to seek them, / Deceiving people by claiming he awoke to the bright star. / Qingliang praising him in this way / Is called knowing kindness and repaying kindness. / If not so: / Every year on the eighth day of the twelfth month, a bowl of tea; / Bowing and burning incense only clumsy him up.
